The 3BM computing team is very experienced. We pride ourselves on being supportive, approachable, and committed to providing excellence. We have included a short resumé of the team members.
Helen is the strategic, educational lead at 3BM was formerly ICT Inspector / Advisor in two London Authorities (10 years in each). She has extensive experience in curriculum development and online safety. She is involved in key Boards for the London Grid for Learning (LGfL). She has additionally twice worked at a national level for Becta, to write materials for and share best practice in ICT across England. She has been a BETT award judge, has presented at several national conferences and is an ‘ICT mark’ assessor.
Belinda is Lead computing curriculum consultant in the 3BM team and formerly the ICT consultant in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Prior to that she was an Advanced Skills Teacher for Lewisham. She has authored a range of educational content, including BETT award content. She is a very experienced online safety advisor, a CEOP Ambassador and a Digital Parenting facilitator.
Matthew is an experienced computing advisory teacher. He maintains a lead professional role (part-time) in a local school. He previously worked as an IT consultant across Brent Local Authority and prior to that across London for the London Grid for Learning (LGfL). He has CEOP Ambassador status, is an ‘Intel Education Visionary’, and trials many new applications in his school.
Frances, has over twenty-five years EYFS and primary teaching experience. She maintains a lead professional role (part-time) in a local school. Previously, she was Lead ICT consultant in Brent Local Authority. She has worked as a consultant running courses and training teaching staff in several London Boroughs. She and is a member of the London online safety group, a CEOP Ambassador, Digital Parenting facilitator and an ‘ICT mark’ assessor.
Nic is a part-time 3BM computing advisor and a practising computing lead professional in a local school. He is a CAS (Computing At School) Master Teacher and runs the Hammersmith ‘CAS Hub’. Prior to that, he worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher in Redbridge. He developed much of the Key Stage 2 computing materials for ‘BBC bite-sized’ website. He has developed a national reputation for his knowledge of primary computer science and robotics, and has presented at a range of regional and national events.
